Friday May 17  11:00 am Crest Academy Plastic Bag-it Event Convenience is the enemy, drowning in plastic.

To raise awareness of plastic bag pollution and to attempt getting in the Guinness Book of World Records, Crest Academy students will wrap Tenderfoot Mtn. in a plastic bag chain. The Crest Academy is holding a special “Bag-It” event, wrapping Tenderfoot Mtn. in a bag chain. The event will be held Friday, May 17. They will need 400 volunteers to help wrap and hold the plastic bag chain around Tenderfoot. Setup will begin at 11 a.m. and the entire event is expected to last until noon. They invite community members of all ages to meet them at the turnaround on the end of F Street at 11 a.m. to participate in this important event.

“We hope that everyone will take their lunch break this Friday, May 17th and walk or ride their bikes downtown to view the plastic bag chain created by the students of the Crest Academy. 12,000 plastic sacks (the number of bags given out every two days by Safeway and WalMart in Salida) will be tied together and stretched up Tenderfoot in a great visual demonstration to help us see our wasteful ways.” From Laura Donovan on the Salida Citizen

Sunday May 19, 12:00 to 2:00,  A Develop You Intuition Workshop, on Healing Debt and Creating Abundance!

Taught by Mia Foley, from Evergreen, this workshop will help you clear the energy of debt.  Give you tools to own you money space and find your true vibration of Abundance.  Contact myself or Mia at 303-408-2501 or miafoley@q.com.  Even if you don’t have debt this workshop will teach you how to create abundance in your life including, your relationship with money.  We all have been taught many things from our family, communities and others regarding how we relate to money.  Several of these are “you have to work hard for money”, “money doesn’t grow on tree’s”  or one of my favorites “to be spiritual you have to be poor” We will clear these false beliefs to create the abundant life we all are supposed to have!  The universe is here to provide for us we only need to remove what is blocking us to allow it to come to us!
